Getting Published is over. Missed it? Want more? Links and events inside.

If you couldn’t make it or you weren’t local, you can catch up here.

Below, we’ve listed links to a video, write-ups, writing communities and forthcoming book-related events.

You can watch the video of the event on Periscope or on YouTube. Quality is not the best, but hope you still enjoy it.

There’s also:

– Some great tweets from the UCLan Writer’s Society

– And a great write-up from Page to Pixels which also has many other interesting blog posts on writing (go check it out!).

If you’re interested in more bookish events:

Kevin Duffy has a BOOK LAUNCH this Thursday July 28 in Waterstones Bradford. It’ll be about local author Dan Micklethwaite’s debut novel, the Less Than Perfect Legend of Donna Creosote. Dan is an award winning short story writer and appeared at the 2016 Bradford Literature Festival.

Society of Young Publishers has an SYP EVENT in Leeds, also Thursday July 28, featuring a discussion with Richard Carman, International Rights Manager at Fourth Wall Publishing, an up-and-coming children’s publisher. There’ll be free drinks and interesting discussions with publishing enthusiasts.

Chorley Writers have a SHORT STORY COMPETITION coming up (with prizes!). Deadline has been extended to 10 August 2016:

I know there were quite a few writing communities in attendance, such as:
UCLan Writer’s Society
Just Write
– Nanowrimos from National Novel Writing Month   and Camp Nanowrimo
Chorley Writers

If there were more of you, feel free to comment below, Tweet or Facebook us to be added to the list.
